Details of family:- Dr. S.C Dhyani was the cherished son of Sh. Umadutta Dhyani, a respected traditional farmer known for his deep connection to the land, and Smt. Shyama Devi, a devoted homemaker who instilled values of compassion and learning in her children. Growing up in a loving household, he shared his formative years with one elder sister and two younger brothers. In 1954, he entered matrimony with Smt. Indu Devi who stood by him through his academic pursuits and professional endeavors. Together, they nurtured a harmonious family environment, raising two daughters and three sons with a profound emphasis on education, values, and cultural heritage.
Educational Qualifications:-
His educational journey began in a village school in Khandwari, established by his father, where he received his primary education. He completed his secondary education at Gurukul Kangri, earning a Madhyama, equivalent to a Senior School Certificate. He then pursued a Bachelor of Indian Medicine and Surgery from Rishikul State Ayurveda College in Haridwar where he was inspired by the intricacies and profound knowledge of Ayurveda. Alongside this, he completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in English through correspondence.
Further advancing his expertise, in 958, he pursued his post graduate qualification, Higher Proficiency in Ayurveda from Post Graduate Training Centre in Ayurveda, Jamnagar, Gujarat uder the guidance of Dr. C Dwarkanath. His academic pursuits culminated in a Ph.D. focused on the “Determination of Taste and Taste Threshold of Drugs” under the mentorship of Prof. V J Thakar.
