परिवार का विवरण :- Father of Vaidya Balendu Prakash was Vaidya Chandra Prakash, who had an established Ayurvedic lineage in Rasashastra and his mother Smt. Shashi Mukhi was a homemaker. Vaidya Chandra Prakash was a renowned expert in processes like Mercury distillation and therefore, the house served as a clinical space, pharmaceutical workspace where processes like mercury distillation, trituration, and incineration were part of routine.
शैक्षिक योग्यताएँ :- Padam Shri Vaidya Balendu Prakash completed his school education in Meerut and thereafter, he was enrolled at D.N. Degree College to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree. finished his BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Science) from Baba Mastnath Ayurvedic College, Asthal Bohar, Rohtak in 1984. He later moved to Rishikul Government Ayurvedic College, Haridwar for MD (Rasashastra). However, in those years he had witnessed a gap between his ideas and the academic world. He decided to drop out of the MD program because he did not feel that it would adequately support his research goals and became determined to establish his own organized pharmaceutical and clinical research bases.
व्यावसायिक यात्रा:-
Lineage Practice to Institutional Responsibility :- Vaidya Balendu Prakash’s life changed in 1984. His father, Vaidya Chandra Prakash, left the world, so the continuity of a living display of Rasashastra tradition in the house was cut short. After his father’s demise, Vaidya Balendu Prakash came forward to carry on the family’s pharmaceutic and clinical endeavours.
Expansion of Pharmaceutic Legacy:- The family’s pharmaceutical activities now transformed to a more organized structure in the subsequent years with the establishment of Bharat Bhaishajya Shala Pvt. Ltd. This was a major leap from the artisanal lineage-based to the organized manufacturing. The establishment of Vaidya Chandra Prakash Cancer Research Foundation in 1989 was a major breakthrough towards institutional research with structured practice. With the growth of clinical activities, a need for a specialty center was recognized. This resulted in the formation of Padaav Speciality Ayurvedic Treatment Centre in the year 2001, a clinical specialty that complemented the research foundation.
As an Astute physician:- One of the unique features of the career of Vaidya Balendu Prakash is his continued involvement with the clinical records and research publications. His research activities were focused on Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia (APML), Migraine, chronic headache disorders, Chronic pancreatitis, Nutritional anaemia, and Allergic rhinitis. His ground-breaking research in the field of APML and pancreatitis has won him global recognition and accolades.
Positions Held :-
साहित्यिक योगदान:- During his career, he has published over 42 research articles in national and international journals. One of the most extensively documented clinical research is regarding the successful management of a patient with relapsing APML with herbo-mineral formulations. Pancreatitis was one of his core-specialization and showcase the largest scaled proponent of his research activities. The case as documented in a peer-reviewed journal in 2024, highlights a non-randomized observational study to evaluate the efficacy of Ayurvedic medicines in pancreatitis treatment was published in Internation Journal of Ayurveda Research.
