Details of family:- Born to Kundan Ram Bhatta and Rewa Ba, he inherited a legacy of Ayurvedic knowledge that began with his great-great-grandfather, Shri Lakshmi Ram Vyas, titled Rajvaidya. This tradition was further enriched by his grandfather, Shri Udai Ram Bhatta, and father, Kundan Ram Bhatta. This legacy continued with his descendants, with his Ayurvedic teachings and practices passing through generations, including his grandson, Shri Ranchod Kaladhar Bhatta, and great-grandson, Prof. Shri Devendra Bhatt (1925-2011).
Educational Qualifications:-
Guided by his father and grandfather, Krishanram Bhatt developed a profound knowledge of Ayurveda and Sanskrit literature, Nyaya, and Vyakarana. Mentored by prominent scholars, including Shri Jeevan Nath Guru for Kavya Prakash and Shri Chandan Ji for Chhand Shastra, he established himself as a polymath in Ayurveda and literature. His intellect and dedication to his studies shaped his profound contributions to both healing sciences and classical literature.
 Professional Journey:-
Educational Contributions:- At 27, Krishanram Bhatt began his teaching career at the Rajakiya Sanskrit Pathshala in Jaipur. Over 22 years, he influenced Ayurvedic education, shaping many renowned Vaidyas. His teaching extended beyond Ayurveda to include Kavya Prakash and Sahityadarpan, enriching the intellectual landscape of his time. His esteemed work ‘Siddha-Bheshajamanimala’ continues to serve as a foundational text in Ayurvedic education.
Leadership Role:- He served as the principal at the Rajakiya Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in Madhav Vilas Palace, Jaipur, where he contributed significantly to Ayurveda’s academic structure and educational practices.
Literary Contributions (Ayurveda)
Vidvad-vaidya-tarangini: Written as a young scholar, this work comprises nine chapters describing eleven diseases, offering plant-based formulations rooted in classical texts.
Siddha-Bheshajamanimala: His magnum opus, encapsulating his Ayurvedic practices, ancestral knowledge, and contributions from fellow practitioners, this book was a required text from 1901 to 1948 in Ayurvedic education.
Palanduraja-Shatakam: A unique Kavya, describing the medicinal properties of onion and garlic in treating ailments such as cholera and jaundice.
Literary Contributions (Other Works)
Kacchavansha Mahakavya:- A Sanskrit epic detailing the genealogy of Jaipur’s rulers, highlighting historical and archaeological aspects.
Muktaka-muktavali, Sarashatakam, Jaipur-Vilas, and Holamahotsav:- These works showcase his versatility, exploring themes from riddles and seasonal descriptions to Jaipur’s city life and folk traditions.
Legacy and Demise:- Despite his vast contributions, Krishanram Bhatt’s life was cut short at 49 due to an abdominal illness. His devotion to Ayurveda and literature continues through his family lineage, who furthered his teachings.
Accolades:- Recognized as Mahabhaga (highly distinguished) and Maha Kavi for his contributions to Ayurveda and literature.
