Date of Birth:- 1030-1111 M. E.

He was a disciple of the late renowned Thaikat Itteeri Mooss: Was the physician to the Cochin Royal Family for about 45 years and was Professor of Ayurveda for some time in the S. R. V. College, Tripunittura. Was the editor of Vahata’s Ashtanga Samgraha with the commentary of Indu. He was the receipient of the Panditaraj medal awarded annually by the late H. H. The Ex Maharaja of Cochin to the most learned man of his time. Devoted his time to the correct teaching of Ayurvedic texts and to the collection, correction and publication of Ayurvedic manuscripts for which he spent a good part of his life.  All his life he was an authority on the subject in South India and was highly esteemed even by the Ashta Vaidyas. He was one who lead a purely saintly life and he was endeared to all owing to his deep learning very effective treatment and kindness to patients.
